Inauguration Ceremony of CMS College of Education

The grand inauguration of CMS College of Education, Ganapathy, Coimbatore, took place on 10th September 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium. The event marked a significant milestone in the institution’s journey and was attended by esteemed dignitaries, faculty, staff, and students.

The ceremony was presided over by Sri. K. Vijayakumar, Chairman of CMS College of Education and CMS Community College. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Ganapathy Rajkumar, Ph.D., Member of Parliament, Coimbatore, whose presence added great value and inspiration to the occasion. Sri. K.K. Ramachandran, President of the Coimbatore Malayali Samajam, and Sri. K. Rajagopalan, General Secretary, were the Guests of Honour for the day.

The college management, including Prof. T. Santha Menon (Vice Chairperson), Dr. O.B. Pramod Kumar (Secretary), Sri. M.K. Rajesh (Joint Secretary), and Sri. R. Velayudhan (Mani) (Treasurer), played an integral role in making the event memorable.

The inaugural ceremony began with a heartfelt prayer followed by a warm welcome address. The traditional lighting of the Kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries symbolized the beginning of a bright journey for the institution and its students. Dr. M. Leonard Ashok, Principal of CMS College of Education, extended a warm welcome to the new batch of students (2024–2026), encouraging them to pursue excellence in their academic endeavors.

A key highlight of the event was the release of the college magazine, officiated by the Chief Guest in the esteemed presence of the college’s Vice Chairperson and Secretary. The event concluded with vibrant cultural performances by senior students, setting an enthusiastic tone for the academic year.
